Client: Brigham & Women’s Hospital
With the constant flow of negative news inundating our daily reality, Brigham & Women’s Hospital became a focal point, after one of their own nurses had been stricken with Covid-19. Desperately needing a boost in morale, KOB saw an immediate need, and within 72 hours, a plan was put into action. Working in unison with the nurse’s union, Boston, State, and Quincy police, as well as coordinated efforts with media organizations, a narrative was designed to give Debbie Buonopane a show of gratitude fit for a king. Overwhelming support ensued, and a viral star was born.
Objective: Media Strategy and Consulting
The show of support was led by live local tv news coverage, articles written in the Boston Globe and Washington Post, a featured story on ABC World News, Inside Edition, and an appearance on the Ryan and Kelly show.
Within hours, the moment captured would go viral across Twitter and Facebook, catapulting Brigham & Women’s Hospital into an international spotlight.
